Ban all tourists
It isn't easy to ban tourists and tour guides, but your communityhas done it. Everyone believes that the cultural integrity of the communitywill be stronger because of it.
Already, however, you've cleared another hectare (two anda half acres) for a coffee plantation. You need the money to pay for a newroof and school supplies for your children. Agriculture is the Quichua wayof life now, and you hope that by banning tourists you will be able to livequietly here in Pangayacu for many decades to come.
